  1. What Data We Collect

We collect different types of data depending on how you interact with the platform.

Account data: when you register, we collect your username, email address, and password. If you update your profile, we also store your first name, last name, and display name.

Payment data: when you purchase a plan or Marketing Store service, payment is processed through our payment provider. We store your order history (items purchased, dates, amounts). We do not store credit card numbers directly; these are held by the payment processor.

Content data: when you create Brand Pages or Catalog Pages, we process and store the content you submit, including company name, logo, descriptions, product information, images, trade terms, and contact details such as your business email and WeChat ID. This content is translated and published on Chinese platforms as part of the Service.

Usage data: we collect information about how you use the platform, including page views, login timestamps, and feature usage. This is used to improve the Service.

Analytics data: our analytics system tracks page views, engagement actions (shares, WeChat copies, email button taps, favorites), and inquiry submissions on your published pages. This data is aggregated and anonymized. It does not contain personal information about the buyers who visit your pages.

Buyer inquiry data: when a Chinese buyer submits an inquiry on your page, the buyer’s form data (email, phone, WeChat ID, company, location, and inquiry details) is sent directly to your registered business email. This data passes through our system for delivery only and is not stored. It is cleared from memory immediately after email delivery.

Support ticket data: when you submit a support ticket, we store the ticket content, attachments, and conversation history for the purpose of resolving your issue.

Cookies: we use essential cookies for login session management. The analytics dashboard uses a language preference cookie that expires after 30 days. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

  1. Why We Collect Data and Our Legal Basis

Under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), we must have a legal basis for processing your personal data. Here is each purpose and its legal basis:

To create and manage your account — legal basis: contract. Processing is necessary to provide the Service you signed up for.

To process payments and manage subscriptions — legal basis: contract. Processing is necessary to fulfill our billing obligations.

To translate, localize, and publish your content on Chinese platforms — legal basis: contract. This is the core service you are paying for.

To provide analytics dashboards showing page performance — legal basis: contract. Analytics is a feature included in your plan.

To deliver buyer inquiry emails to your registered address — legal basis: contract. Inquiry delivery is a core feature of the Service.

To provide support through the ticket system — legal basis: contract. Support is part of the Service.

To send you service-related notifications (plan expiration, system updates) — legal basis: legitimate interest. We have a legitimate interest in keeping you informed about your account status. You can opt out of non-essential notifications.

To improve the Service based on usage patterns — legal basis: legitimate interest. We have a legitimate interest in understanding how the platform is used to make it better. This processing uses aggregated data and does not involve profiling.

  1. Who We Share Data With

Your published content (Brand Pages, Catalog Pages) is shared with Chinese platform operators (WeChat/Tencent, Baidu, ByteDance/Douyin, Kuaishou) as part of the Service. This is necessary to make your pages accessible to Chinese buyers.

Payment processing is handled by our payment provider. They receive the data necessary to process your transaction.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to third parties for their own marketing purposes.

We may disclose data if required by law, regulation, or legal process.

  1. International Data Transfers

VjQj operates across two server environments:

Account data, subscription data, and support tickets are stored on servers outside of China.

Translated page content (your published Brand Pages and Catalog Pages) is stored on China-based servers with valid ICP registration. This is necessary for pages to load quickly and function correctly within China’s network environment.

Buyer inquiry data is not stored on any server. It is transmitted to your email and cleared from memory.

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), your account data is processed outside the EEA. We rely on Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) as the legal mechanism for these transfers. You may request a copy of the applicable SCCs by contacting support@vjqj.com.

Your published content is transferred to China-based servers as part of the core service delivery. By using the Service, you acknowledge that making your content accessible in China requires hosting it on Chinese servers. This transfer is necessary for the performance of the contract between you and VjQj.

  1. How Long We Keep Data

Account data: retained for as long as your account is active. After account closure, we retain it for up to 12 months for administrative and legal purposes, then delete it.

Payment records: retained for 7 years to comply with financial record-keeping requirements.

Published content: retained for as long as your plan is active and pages are published. After plan expiration and the grace period, content is removed from Chinese platforms. Cached copies on third-party platforms are outside our control.

Analytics data: aggregated analytics are retained indefinitely. This data is anonymized and cannot be linked to individual buyers.

Buyer inquiry data: not retained. Cleared from memory immediately after email delivery.

Support tickets: retained for 24 months after resolution, then deleted.

Cookies: session cookies expire when you close your browser. Language preference cookies expire after 30 days.

  1. Your Rights

If you are located in the EEA or a jurisdiction with similar data protection laws, you have the following rights:

Right of access — you can request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.

Right to rectification — you can ask us to correct inaccurate data. You can also update most of your data directly in Account Details.

Right to erasure — you can ask us to delete your personal data. We will comply unless we have a legal obligation to retain it (such as financial records). Deleting your account will remove your pages from Chinese platforms.

Right to restriction — you can ask us to temporarily stop processing your data while a concern is being resolved.

Right to data portability — you can request your data in a structured, machine-readable format.

Right to object — you can object to processing based on legitimate interest. We will stop unless we have compelling grounds that override your interests.

Right to withdraw consent — where processing is based on consent, you can withdraw it at any time. This does not affect the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.

To exercise any of these rights, email support@vjqj.com with your request. We will respond within 30 days.

If you believe your data protection rights have been violated, you have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection supervisory authority.

  1. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS) for all data in transit, access controls limiting data access to authorized personnel, the analytics dashboard secured with HMAC-SHA256 signed URLs that expire after 30 minutes, and regular security reviews of our infrastructure.

No system is perfectly secure. If a data breach occurs that poses a risk to your rights, we will notify you and the relevant supervisory authority within 72 hours of becoming aware of the breach, as required by GDPR.

  1. Children

The Service is not intended for individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If we learn that we have collected data from a person under 18, we will delete it promptly.

  1. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or through the platform. The “Last Updated” date at the top of this page indicates the most recent revision.

If a change materially affects how we process your existing data, we will give you the opportunity to review the change before it takes effect.
